Biography

Jérôme Gonnot is a graduate of HEC Paris. He studied economics at the Paris School of Economics (Master’s degree) and obtained a Ph.D in political economy from the Toulouse School of Economics. His research focuses on the economics of migration, public economics and political economy. He has published in peer-reviewed journals such as the European Journal of Political Economy and the Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies. He has also contributed to numerous reports on migration issues, notably for the European Commission and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM).

He previously worked as a post-doctoral researcher for the Migration Policy Center (MPC) at the European University Institute in Florence, then as an economist at the Centre d’études prospectives et d’informations internationales (CEPII). He has also been a research fellow at the Institut Convergences Migrations since 2021.
