PROFESSIONALISATION

INTERNSHIPS AND WORKSHOPS

The requirement for all students to intern for a minimum of eight weeks during their Bachelor’s degree and for four months during the Master’s degree is a central component of ESPOL’s educational strategy. Internships give students a first contact with the professional world that boosts their employability or helps them decide on what direction to pursue in their further studies. In order to best assist each student in preparing his or her career plan, career and professions workshops are organised from the first semester of the first year of the Bachelor’s Degree and continue up to Master’s level (CV preparation techniques, application letters and interviews, techniques to find internships and more). In addition, to optimise students’ preparation, “job-dating” sessions are held with recruitment professionals.

MEDIA TRAINING WORKSHOP

“Media training” seminars conducted in collaboration with press, radio and TV journalists are organised in  8-student groups. Students participate in a series of exercises (presenting themselves, talking in front of the group without notes, interviews, duels and debates). Drawing on their experience and using video recordings, the trainers explain to students the different techniques of presenting arguments and counter-arguments, provide advice on stress management, audience analysis, voice training and behaviour management.

Training levy

As a private higher education institution, the Catholic University of Lille participate at the public service of Education, but it receives from the State a low grant (from 10 to 20% according to the field of study). We train students that will be the professional you will need tomorrow. To offer to our students an optimal educational monitoring and a real working comfort, ESPOL evolved its teaching and continuously optimize the quality of its infrastructures.

Your contribution will be intended for instruction and for financing equipment and materials for students.
