Biography

With an MA in Multimedia Journalism and M1 in Global and European Politics, Jana is currently pursuing her PhD related to Public and Political Attitudes on Immigration at ESPOL. Before her PhD, Jana used to work in different NGOs and social enterprises, especially those supporting refugees, immigrants, and women. Jana has more than 5 years of experience in the social work and communications field and worked as a freelance journalist for a while.

Languages spoken: English (Advanced), Arabic (Native), French (Beginner)

Research interests: Media framing and media effects, comparative studies, political/public attitudes on immigration
