Dears students,

This year’s back to school, as the previous one, is characterized by a complex health context. At the moment, provided that the ministerial directives won’t change, classes will be held face-to-face in compliance with the preventive measures. Wearing a mask remains compulsory in closed areas, regularly use hydroalcoholic gel. The University, for its part, sets up the health protocols to provide a safety environment.

At that stage, the “health pass” is not compulsory to enter the establishment. However, experience shows that regulations can evolve very quickly. For instance, the French government is currently considering that in case of a cluster, only non-vaccinated students would attend online classes. We can do no other than encourage you to make what’s necessary to get the “health pass” very soon in order to protect yourself from any new potential restrictions. The student community has several times been identified as a vector for the spread of the virus, it is therefore not excluded that the participation in some pedagogical or student activities could be subject to that obligation. Beyond the citizen gesture, a full vaccination will be a way to facilitate your student life.

The ESPOL Team remains at your disposal for any additional information. However, our offices are closed from the 24th July to 22nd August included.

While awaiting to welcome you in September, we wish you a nice summer.

Best regards

Dear students,

At the end of last week, I wrote to you to inform you about the conditions for the resumption of on-site classes for first year students.
We are living through terribly changing times by definition and received a ministerial circular with new instructions over the weekend.
Referencing President Emmanuel Macron’s announcements, the circular sets guidelines for a limited and progressive resumption of on-site classes for all students, within the limits of 20% of our overall reception capacity and within due respect of the applicable health measures. This would be the equivalent of a day of physical, on-campus presence for you per week.
For now, we have little information regarding the concrete implementation and implications of this decision. Several meetings with the University and the Rector’s office are planned during the week of 25 January. We hope to be in position to provide you with a clear vision by the end of the week.
We know you wish to come back to ESPOL and we, ourselves, are looking forward to meeting you again. We will do our best to welcome you back as soon as possible!

Until then, take care of yourself and your loved ones.

Best regards,
Alexis MASSART
Director of ESPOL

Dear students,

We hope you are all well. We know how complicated and changing the situation is and has been over the last months. Today, we would like to update you with the latest information concerning the progressive resuming of on-site classes. Considering the constantly evolving situation, any change to the below measures will of course be communicated to you in the shortest possible time.

We would like to remind you that we are your disposal to assist you should you be facing any obstacles, whether personal, logistical or financial 24/7. You can contact us via email espol-covid19@univ-catholille.fr and telephone +33 (0)3.59.56.79.56. Additionally, we would also like to remind you that “All, tous les services de la vie étudiante” (All, all services to student life) stands by your side and offers day-to-day support: psychological assistance supervised by professionals, sport videos… as well as a free and anonymous Nightline, accessible 24/7.

TDs (Tutorials) and TPs (Practicals) will resume on-site from 1 February 2021 onward only for L1 students. This decision corresponds to the ministerial recommendations (MESRI, Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation) and aligns with decisions taken at the Rectorat de Lille (Lille Local Education Authority) and Université Catholique de Lille’s levels. Health measures will be guaranteed in accordance with ministerial instructions.

LV1 and LV2 (Foreign language classes) will start online during the week of 25 January and continue on-site from the week of 1 February onward. LV3 classes will be taught online and, from a quick look, for the entire semester.

All L1 students having signalled being able to return on campus are therefore invited to do so. For students who cannot or do not want to be physically on-site, we will set up hybrid teaching for TDs and TPs (access will be via the course webpage on Icampus).

If your courses end after 18:00, you will have to:
