Thomas Millea is a PhD candidate and research fellow at ESPOL. He holds a BA in Modern European History and an MA in History from Liverpool Hope University. He specifically worked on Irish socialism.
Tommy’s PhD research focusses on the issue of food surplus throughout Europe, with a focus on France and Britain. The work will take the form of a comparative analysis, assessing the different approaches each country takes towards food surplus issues. His PhD is supervised by Liverpool Hope University (Prof. Bryce Evans) and the Catholic University of Lille (Prof. Sabine Weiland).
He is also teaching undergraduate students in History and Politics at Liverpool Hope University, in the fields of history of food and sustainability.
