Alexia VENOUIL

Alexia Venouil is Director of Academic Programmes at the European school of political and social sciences (ESPOL) and Associate Professor of Political Science. She also is a research fellow at the centre d’études sociologiques sur le droit et les institutions pénales (CESDIP).
She specialises in the study of public policy issues drawing upon international comparison.
Her research focuses more particularly on how political and administrative elites relate to experts and interest groups in the making of penal and prison policies.
She holds a Ph.D. from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Grenoble. She was previously a lectrice at Trinity College, University of Oxford (United Kingdom), and she has also taught at the university of Grenoble-III and at the university of Versailles-Saint-Quentin. She joined ESPOL in 2017.
